In parallel with the Central Project Design team, BIC efforts commenced in 2014 to explore a range of remodeling options for the Berger Center. A list of 20 elements to be addressed included stage access, adding meeting spaces, greater storage, HVAC maintenance, code compliance, and adding a lobby. BIC explored five levels of possible change:
- Cosmetic update
- Modernize existing configuration
- Reconfigure and modernize
- Expand and modernize
- Build a new Berger
