During the display period, community members were invited to comment on the plan alternatives. There were 669 written feedback forms submitted. These were sorted and reviewed by OVA staff and three members of LRPC. Two-thirds of the comments supported one or more of the Master Plan or building options. LRPC met in September to discuss the comments and to make a recommendation to the Board about which Master Plan concept should receive more detailed study from the Board. The working draft document that used in the meeting was 18 pages that included a summary of previous background work, a review of OVA’s Reserve Study and a summary of the comments for each of the three concepts.

Rather than include all that detail in the recommendation to the Board, the Committee voted to send a two-page recommendation “to explore in more detail the Walk in the Park concept, and options 3 for both CAC and Berger” as part of the development of a Master Plan for the Central Complex. At the September Board meeting, the Board voted unanimously to approve the recommendation.
