Focused on the fourth and fifth options outlined by the BIC:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Renovating\u00a0the existing structure;\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Removing\u00a0the existing structure and\u00a0replacing it with\u00a0a new center of the same or larger size at the same or a\u00a0new\u00a0location;\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Repurposing\u00a0the existing structure and building\u00a0a new center of the same or larger size at another location.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Their interim report from Summer 2017 summarized their progress:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oakmontvillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/BAC-July-5-ppt-FINAL.pdf\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/oakmontvillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/BAC-July-5-ppt-FINAL.pdf\"><strong>BAC July 5 2017<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a><br>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Their final\u00a0report was presented to the Board in February of 2018 and included a summary of\u00a0rough\u00a0costs,\u00a0including\u00a0estimated (<strong><em>prior to the 2017 fires<\/em><\/strong>)\u00a0construction budgets\u00a0and\u00a0information on\u00a0various loan\u00a0options\u00a0to\u00a0finance\u00a0the\u00a0work.\u00a0Here\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0BAC Final Report and Financial Analysis:<em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/oakmontvillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Final-Report-presented-1-06-2018.pdf\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/oakmontvillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Final-Report-presented-1-06-2018.pdf\">Final Report<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Subsequent to this, in April&nbsp;2018&nbsp;the BAC presented&nbsp;details&nbsp;to OVA Board&nbsp;for&nbsp;beginning&nbsp;the&nbsp;long overdue&nbsp;<strong>East Recreation Center renovation&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;recommended&nbsp;that&nbsp;most&nbsp;efforts in the Central area be deferred&nbsp;to some future time&nbsp;(the exception&nbsp;was&nbsp;work on the&nbsp;Berger Center seismic<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>assessment and remediation\u2014which was&nbsp;completed in 2019).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The most recent of these\u00a0related\u00a0efforts\u00a0started\u00a0in 2017.\u00a0The BAC studied the existing floor plan of the Berger and explored three options for a future Berger Center.
